The Angeles College Library and Learning Resource Center strives to provide a place for the college community to learn and share knowledge together. The library strives to provide information literacy skills which are essential to healthcare professionals in their development of lifelong learning. An information-literate person has the ability to be a knowledgeable, active participant in the workforce and the community.

The Los Angeles and City of Industry campuses have their own on-site library holdings for local patrons to access books and periodicals related to the programs offered at each campus location. The library is a centrally located resource for all students and faculty and is accessible during classroom hours. Located adjacent to the classrooms and inside the computer lab, the Los Angeles campus library features a collection of books and periodicals to conduct research and classroom reading assignments.
Each Computer Lab serves as a student group-study area as well as a workspace for library research instruction conducted by the Angeles College Librarian. The Computer Lab currently features Dell Desktop stations installed with Windows OS and MS Office and current browsers for online access. All stations feature Comprehensive Review software for Medical Assistants, Nurse Assistants, Vocational Nursing students, RN-to-BSN, and Prelicensure Nursing students.

AC offers Students & Faculty the LIRN library for both LA and CI campuses (Residential and Online eLearning), allowing each student to have access to thousands of online books, articles, and periodical publications, journals, and newspapers. The online library is available 24/7 though internet access, allowing students and faculty access according to their schedule.
You will need your LIRN ACCESS CODE (New Students, please retrieve your online access code from the front desk).

In the LIRN Library environment, students and faculty have access to database vendors such as ProQuest, GALE, and PubMed. The ERIC database is accessible directly from the link or browses to the bottom of the page.
Each vendor has numerous databases that can be searched by Subject, like Health & Medicine, or search individual databases like the Gale Virtual Reference Library (GVRL) for reference information.
Angeles College researchers can search for Reference materials such as Encyclopedias, Dictionaries, and Almanacs as well as for Articles from Journals, Newspapers and Magazines across multidisciplinary subjects.

The Angeles College Library physical collection is unique per campus location. Each location has library holdings catered to the programs available at each respective location.
Borrowing Policy: All books are for Angeles College patrons use (students & faculty). The library maintains an honor system for the collection (Checkout & Return) due to the size of the library community, and students are expected to utilize the library with proper behavior and common courtesy to other students. Each campus library policies are distributed during workshop orientations for students to recognize and follow. Library materials are to be shared and respected as learning material. Abuse of library resources by students or faculty may require administrative remedies.
Apart form the Angeles College library, students within Los Angeles county can access the LA County Library system for material outside Angeles College library.
